Senior Leadership

Andy Smith

Headteacher

It is with great pleasure I introduce myself to you as the  Headteacher at Lime Academy Ravensbourne. It is a fantastic privilege to have this opportunity to be part of your children’s lives and to work with you as families to help our young people to thrive.

Ravensbourne is  my third SEN environment having previously worked for several years at Parkwood Hall Academy in Kent and Zinc Arts, a charity that provides residential care and projects for vulnerable young people and adults with a full range of SEN needs.

Our overriding vision is that Ravensbourne will provide every child with the highest quality of education and care, within an environment which is safe, stimulating and fun for our learners.

I would like you to feel that the school is a warm friendly place that communicates effectively with you, is available to listen and work with you in partnership to get the very best for your child.

As a teacher, I am English and Drama trained and am very keen to encourage creative activity and creative thinking throughout the school. When not at work I spend time with my mad Lurcher dogs, cycling, reading enjoying the company of my family and doing photography.

Teneille Dardis

Deputy Head

This term I will be working on secondment at Lime Academy Hartwell, which is the newest addition to our Trust family of school.  My role will be covered by the Assistant Heads, Rachel and Lisa and please feel free to contact Andy Smith, the Headteacher if you have any concerns or feedback.

I hope that all at Lime Academy Ravensbourne continue to thrive and learn.

Assistant Head

I joined Ravensbourne in September 2022 having worked for over 30 years in and with a range of educational organisations from mainstream primary schools, universities, Children Centres, early years settings, the London Borough of Havering Council and a provision for children with Autistic Spectrum Conditions.  My roles have included teacher, Deputy Headteacher, SENCO, Early Years Leader and Specialist Teacher. I love working at Ravensbourne with an amazing group of learners, families and colleagues.  We have lots of fun!  The highest quality provision for each learner and the most empathetic support for families are priorities for me, alongside introducing community organisations to Ravensbourne so that inclusivity might edge forwards.  As the lead staff member for overseeing the work of our Multi-Disciplinary Team and everything EHCPs, I am excited about getting to meet with most of our fantastic families.

Rachel Turner

Assistant Head

I joined Ravensbourne from the Lime Trust, bringing over 35 years’ experience of working in both education and the community. I have a passion for developing space that facilitates the best learning conditions for all our learners to engage and grow - smart, functional, beautiful and fun. I enjoy working with teams to create inspiring events and ambitious connections with both home and the community. Through my work I hope to broaden our impact for each learner at Ravensbourne. My classes this year will be Adepitan, Wonder and Grey Thompson. As a DSL, I am part of the Safeguarding Team which looks to ensure that all our learners are happy and cared for to their full potential.

School Business Leader

School Business Leader

I joined Lime Academy Ravensbourne on a part time basis but that quickly became full time.  I was previously the Business Manager at another Special School so I am well aware to the particular challenges of this role.  Having run my own small business for over 20 years I know something about most aspects of the business side of a school whether it be Health and Safety or training and staff matters, however it is great to have the support of the Trust to help with tricky issues.

My priority for the current year is Parental and Stakeholder Engagement.  This will hopefully involve arranging events for families and developing the site for wider community use.
