Academy Council

Lime Academy Ravensbourne is governed by an Academy Council who meet six times per year in line with the Lime Trust annual governance planner.

Academy Council Members:

Anesta Philaretou (Chair, Ravensbourne Parent Rep): Anesta is a long term foster parent, whose foster son attends Ravensbourne. She was born and raised in South Africa, and lived in Cyprus for 10 years before moving to the UK. Throughout her adult life, she has volunteered and worked with children in different capacities and settings.

Asim Mughal (Vice Chair, Hornbeam Parent Rep and Health & Safety Lead for the Academy Council): Asim has lived in Waltham Forest his whole life and is married with three children. His son has attended Hornbeam since 2009. Asim works as a team leader for an international food manufacturer and distributor called Grace Foods UK.

Stuart Marshall (Trust-appointed Governor and Finance Lead for the Academy Council): Stuart is the Group Sales Manager for a leading Loss Assessing Company, who are currently the fastest growing assessors in the UK and won Loss Assessors 2020. He runs the UK sales team, which involves lots of travelling. He was previously the Chair of Governors at the Gateway Academy in Thurrock, where he oversaw a successful Ofsted visit which resulted in the academy gaining a higher Ofsted rating and having very positive feedback.

Minaar Hansi (Trust-appointed Governor and Lead Governor for Pupil Outcomes): Minaar joined the Academy Council as a Trust-appointed Governor in September 2021. She is originally from North London and built her career after taking the apprenticeship route following the completion of her A-levels. She has worked in a variety of sectors since then, such as healthcare, social care and education. She spends her spare time conducting career workshops for KS3+. Her interests include the Art of Patisserie and travel, as well as a variety of sports. 

Ellen Martins-Olatunde (Trust-appointed Governor): Ellen joined the Academy Council as a Trust-appointed Governor in September 2021. Ellen is an award-winning Career/Business Coach, Author and IT Consultant who is passionate about Helping Other People Evolve (H.O.P.E). She has inspired others in a variety of ways inside and outside of the corporate world, including writing and performing thought-provoking poetry, broadcasting an inspirational radio show and coaching people through redundancy. She has advised on boards previously and is a Trustee for a charity that builds schools for orphans in Rwanda. She has previously worked in education and delivered inset days and creative writing workshops in prisons, schools and mental health institutions. 

Rachael Holland (Trust Staff Rep, Safeguarding Lead for the Academy Council): Prior to her current role as Interim Deputy CEO and Director of Education for Lime Trust, Rachael was a Headteacher with the Trust for 3 years. She has over 25 years’ teaching experience, has taught throughout the primary age range, was a SENCO for a number of years, as well as a Local Authority moderator. She successfully managed and led the academisation process at Lime Academy Abbotsmede and the school has seen improvements in outcomes at all key milestones as a result. Her qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Law, PGCE, SENCO accreditation, NPQH and she is currently studying for the NPQEL qualification.

Nadine Jones (Lime Academy Ravensbourne Staff Rep): Nadine is a Teacher and EYFS Phase Leader.

George Lambrou (Lime Academy Hornbeam Staff Rep): George is an Assistant Headteacher.

Gillian Walsh (Lime Academy Forest Approach Staff Rep): Gillian is a Teacher and secondary Phase Leader.
