Senior Leadership

Andy Smith

Headteacher

It is with great pleasure I introduce myself to you as the new Headteacher at Lime Academy Ravensbourne. It is a fantastic privilege to have this opportunity to be part of your children’s lives and to work with you as families to help our young people to thrive.

Ravensbourne will be my third SEN environment having previously worked for several years at Parkwood Hall Academy in Kent and Zinc Arts, a charity that provides residential care and projects for vulnerable young people and adults with a full range of SEN needs.

Our overriding vision is that Ravensbourne will provide every child with the highest quality of education and care, within an environment which is safe, stimulating and fun for our learners.

I would like you to feel that the school is a warm friendly place that communicates effectively with you, is available to listen and work with you in partnership to get the very best for your child.

As a teacher, I am English and Drama trained and am very keen to encourage creative activity and creative thinking throughout the school. When not at work I spend time with my mad Lurcher dogs, cycling, reading enjoying the company of my family and doing photography.

Teneille Dardis

Deputy Head

Welcome back to what is going to be a great year at Lime Ravensbourne. I am looking forward to starting my third full academic year here, seeing what it brings and how we can move forward together as a community. I am excited about being able to bring new experiences to our learners and getting our learners out on trips. This year I am lucky enough to be overseeing the following classes: Hawking, Weir, Bayley Simmonds and Hamilton. Other responsibilities I hold across the school will be developing and embedding our curriculum.

Rachel Turner

Assistant Head

I joined Ravensbourne from the Lime Trust in June, bringing over 35 years’ experience of working in both education and the community. I have a passion for developing space that facilitates the best learning conditions for all our learners to engage and grow - smart, functional, beautiful and fun. I enjoy working with teams to create inspiring events and ambitious connections with both home and the community. Through my work I hope to broaden our impact for each learner at Ravensbourne. My classes this year will be Adepitan, Wonder and Grey Thompson. As a DSL, I am part of the Safeguarding Team which looks to ensure that all our learners are happy and cared for to their full potential.
